As November is National Family Caregivers Month, Cross Creek at Lee’s Summit Assisted Living | Memory Care would like to recognize the amazing team of caregivers within our community and the millions of family members and friends throughout the world who are caring for their loved ones.
Without our team of professional caregivers at Cross Creek and our residents’ family and friends, we would not be able to create such a wonderful community for our residents.
According to a Newsweek article discussing Alzheimer’s and the impact of the disease, “Alzheimer’s is the most expensive disease in America, and the only leading cause of death in the U.S. that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.”
Due to this prevalence and intensity of Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders, these conditions often require much dependence on caretakers.
Cross Creek at Lee’s Summit uses a special care approach, The Five Pillars of Brain Health, to specifically enrich the lives of those with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our care staff is trained to compassionately encourage residents to live their most fulfilled lives in the comfort and safety of our community.
We are so thankful to our patients, amazing staff and all of the wonderful caretakers in the world!
